When Deborah Braffett – a young, married professional with big city roots — first discovered the Grand Valley in 1982, it struck a chord in her. The panoramic vistas and desert colors inspired her to picture a new life. The active lifestyle and great outdoors suited her interests. The intimate, small town community beckoned her to get involved. And, the quality of life made it all irresistible. Before long, this splendid valley became home to Deborah, her husband, and two young children.
